Automatic Sunscreen Station

Our automatic sunscreen station will measure around 1.2 meters wide and 2.1 meters high. The small perforations across the surface are precision nozzles that distribute sunscreen evenly. On the right side, a built-in display provides clear instructions and allows the user to select their preferred SPF level, such as 15, 30, or 50. The user also enters their body height, ensuring that only the necessary nozzles are activated, which minimizes waste. The sunscreen formula is carefully developed to be safe and non-staining, protecting both skin and swimwear. Before activation, a safety reminder will appear, advising the user to close their eyes and mouth. The system includes two modes: one for a complete full-body spray in a single cycle, and another for front and back coverage. In the second program, the spray automatically pauses for 3–4 seconds, giving the user time to turn around for even application.

The idea behind Solea

The idea for Solea came to me during a holiday in Spain, where I noticed how guests – including myself – struggled with sunscreen. Most applied it once in the morning, then went swimming and forgot to reapply. After just two days I was badly sunburned, which reminded me of my grandfather, who was diagnosed with skin cancer two years ago, and my father, who also cannot expose himself to the sun.

That’s when I realized there had to be a simpler way. Solea was born – an automatic sunscreen station that hotels, beach clubs, resorts, waterparks and even public beaches can proudly showcase, helping guests protect their skin, avoid sunburn, and ultimately reduce the risk of skin cancer while still enjoying their holiday.
